Fall Beach Vacation (part 3)

If you'd like to start from the beginning, check out:
Part 1
Part 2

Friday, October 12, 2012~I cooked and we ate an outside picnic breakfast. To me, that is a MUST while camping. In an attempt to beat the largest crowds, we visited the Shrimp Festival before the weekend. We actually were only there for about 2 hours. Our money tree hasn't been putting out as much as we would like for it too, so there was little "shopping/souvenir" cash. Therefore, we mostly looked around, listened to the music and smelled all the great fried food. Our only purchases were: Bella an $8 pair of sunglasses, Jacob a slice of pizza, a funnel cake for me and a large sweet tea that we all shared. Then it was nap time. After they played for an hour (again) in their little room, they finally went to sleep. Bella was extra cranky and whinny, so a nap was non-negotiable. We took us a snooze too, not waking up until 5!! It felt so good!! But everyone else had already left for dinner. So we woke the girls up, loaded up & decided to avoid the crowds and eat Italian. We went to a local Italian restaurant that was just a few miles away. Bella and Lucy ate seafood...goldfishies to be exact. After dinner we headed to the beach with our flashlight and net to search for crabs. It was my 1st time to ever go crab hunting. Lucy hung out happily on my hip while daddy and Bella chased crabs. Bella, who is usually scared of everything, had lots if fun. She was very good at spotting them and even held a couple.

Saturday, October 13, 2012~College football game day! Tailgating day! We stayed around the camp ground all day eating. And eating. And eating some more. I probably consumed 10,000 delicious calories. I pulled Bella in her wagon...burned probably 50 calories. But who's counting??? I ate my 1st grilled stuffed peppers. (I'm pretty picky-avoiding onions, tomatoes and peppers). It was a BIG deal for me...but it was pretty good! Roll Tide.
I told Bella that I would walk with her while she strolled her babies.  I walked inside to get her shoes...came out to find her stroller and her loaded up in her wagon.  She said, "I'm ready to go!"
