Whether you're 10, 30 or 50 years old, most people enjoy watching their family's home videos. Smart phones make it easier than ever to make little short videos. It's the part where you need to MAKE SOMETHING out of all those little clips that often gets pushed to the side. When we went to Disney World, I knew I wanted to make this little video with pictures and video clips to remember how their eyes lit up, their sweet voices and excitement. I wanted to remember each fun detail. This vacation was nothing less that a blessing to our family.
Here's a glimpse of our magical Disney Vacation....
I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas Eve. I'm so excited to be spending the entire day with my family. I am so very richly blessed. Let us all remember to stop and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
I think Lucy's crazy bed-head morning hair is so stinkin adorable. But then again, as her mother, I would say that~because everything she does is adorable!
I TRIED TO talked a little about what everyone else says about me..."She is SO country!!"
In this vlog, my plan was to talk about my southern accent and my southern favorites...but my husband was acting like a 12 year old, so it turned into a silly, immature, laughing session, that left my face beet red and tears in my eyes. If you hate silly...don't watch because this vlog is a big ol' dose of immature giggles! We are silly...we have fun...we laugh at stupid stuff!
Clarification: one & half cup of SUGAR per 1 gallon sweet tea. I was giggling so much that I made no sense.
I'm just a little behind on my highlight reels. A few days ago, I was inspired to finish this one of Bella at 1 year old. That is maybe the perfect age. It's an innocent age. A sweet age. An age of learning, exploring and being silly. A age of MAJOR growth...physically and mentally.
It's adorable to watch her learn so much...
how to talk
taking her 1st steps
how much she loves playing with babies
how the reflection in the mirror will always copy what she does
how to give the evil eye
how splashing is so much fun
that she loved her 1st boat ride
mommy's heels are really loud and fun to walk in
WE learned how fearless she is in water.
Forgive my amateur-ness. I wish I owned an HD video camera, but I don't. Actually more than half of these were just taken with my cell phone. Either way, I caught them and now I'll enjoy them the rest of my life. I hope you enjoy watching some of the everyday highlights of Bella's 1st year.
What a wonderful 2 months it has been to have Lucy Lee in our lives. I actually feel like it's been a while since we welcomed her into our world. I felt love for her on the day she was born, but these past 2 months I have fallen in love with her. It's a deep, complete, unconditional love. An amazing love. Without her in our lives now, this family would not be complete. I am grateful for her and thank God daily for allowing us to be her parents. It is such a sad feeling knowing that I don't have much time left at home with her. I am counting down every day, every minute and not taking a wiggle, stretch, grin or even a poop diaper for granted because these days at home with her & Bella have been the most enjoyable ever!
For the past few weeks I've been learning how to put our videos from our camera & phones onto DVDs. We recently got a new computer so it's taken me a while. But I'm finally caught up. Today I learned a new trick that I'm so excited about! Watch these without critiquing. I am in no way an expert at this. I'm just doing these "highlight reels" for me & my family to remember the good times, not to win an award. But I'm loving this so much, you'll probably be seeing a lot more. I've got several ideas now that I've started...
Bella has a live baby doll...her baby sister. Lucy will usually just lay there, she doesn't seem that annoyed by Bella being all up in her face, yelling and laughing loudly. Yesterday, we were playing in Bella's big girl room and Bella loved that I put Lucy on her bed and let her cover Lucy up and "play" with her.
I guess this is the week of videos. Jacob might kill me for this one, but it is too precious not to share. While on maternity leave, I have a long, overdue To-Do list. One of those things that I'm working on this week is getting all the movies off the video camera & our phones and putting them on DVDs. I came across this one and it just melted my heart. I know exactly when it was...it was the day after Halloween because Jacob still had on his fake tattoo. (He was a redneck, sporting the Mississippi mudflap hair).
Bella was 10 months when she had her 1st dance with the man that loves her more than anyone ever can:
