Easter, years past...

2012
Mamaw's Japanese Maple and these pictures is one of the reasons why that's one of my favorite trees!
Last Easter, we shared our BIG SURPRISE.  We let Bella "announce it".

My (crazy) family, that I love so dearly

My family get-togethers consist of: eating a wide variety of delicious food, roaming around Mamaw's yard, laughing, being silly and taking pictures.  I love it!  I always look forward to hanging out with my crazy family!
Mimi, Aunt KK, Lucy

Camera hogs...my sisters!

Bella and her sweet daddy.

TRADITION.  Mamaw and her grand and great-grand children.  We have always took pictures on Mamaw's front steps.  Funny how as we've grown those steps have gotten smaller.

Crazy

My beautiful girls and I staring straight into the sun, trying to take a picture.

Our little family.  Now that's an AMAZING LOVE.

My wonderful family.  I love how it is growing every year!

The Hunt at Mamaw's house

Last Sunday we celebrated Easter at my Mamaw's house.  Last year at 16 months, Bella didn't quite understand the Easter egg hunt.  But this year, Bella, Rylee and Hebson (my cousin) had so much fun finding the eggs, opening and eating the sweet surprise on the inside.
I love how animated Rylee's facial expressions are:

Deviled Eggs, nah...I'll take the Peeps on a Stick!

Bella is really not that picky (unlike her mama & daddy).  She'll try most anything, she might not like it, but she'll usually try it.  Well she tried deviled eggs and.........made a terrible face and spit it out.  It was quite funny.  Later, Aunt KK made them Easter buckets.  In Bella's was Peeps on a Stick.  It was her 1st time trying Peeps, she liked them much more than her deviled eggs.
See that adorable little boy...that's my sweet cousin, Hebson!  Love him!

5 months

Lucy is 5 months old today!  We spent the morning at the zoo!
There has been big changes in the past month.  Lucy is no longer in our room, but in her crib in her room.  She is (mostly) sleeping through the night. She is now on formula.  With the combination of no longer feeding her at night and several days at work when I only had the opportunity to pump once in a 14 hour period, that equals a decrease in my milk supply...simple as that.  It is such a bittersweet transition.  We are still dealing with her reflux.  It usually peaks between 4-6 months.  I'm praying that it'll be over soon!  She celebrated Rylee's 2nd birthday and went on her 1st zoo trip today.  She will laugh out loud now.  Oh, she's just so laid back and easy going.  If she cries, it's usually simple...feed her, change her, or put her to sleep!  Bella was a very different infant!  Lucy's quick fixes are wonderful!  As the seasons are changing, I get excited thinking about all the "1st" that Lucy is about to experience this spring and summer!

Today marks Amazing Love's 6 months!  I hope you are enjoying reading about our lives.  I love writing and going back looking at pictures and reliving these moments.  I know this blog is a lot like a picture book with many more photos than paragraphs.  I would like to hear from y'all today.

What is your favorite post so far?

Easter Baskets

With Easter approaching and eggs to be found, I had to get Lucy a basket.  I have this thing about baskets...I love them!  Any and all!  In our house they hold toys, diapers/wipes, pins/bills, hair bows, DVDs, magazines, more toys,  you get the picture?  So of course, I had to have the perfect Easter baskets for my sweet girls!  I got Lucy's at Hobby Lobby 50% off and we had Bella's from last year.  However, I wanted to do some sprucing up to these plain baskets.  I've seen these fabric rosettes on Pinterest and decided to give them a try.  After several hot glue gun burns, I mastered them.  I loved the look of the rosettes!
